Transformations
Weld gives you two powerful ways to handle transformations:
- Weld Transform — build and schedule models directly in Weld with the SQL editor.
- Third-party orchestration — plug in dbt/dbt Core or your BI/warehouse tools while Weld handles ingestion and activation.
This topic now has its own dedicated section in the documentation.
👉 Head over to the Transformations docs for detailed guides, integrations, and comparisons.

Weld connects to all major warehouses and lakes:
Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Postgres, Amazon S3, and more.
These are often paired with tools like dbt/dbt Core, Power BI, Fabric, and Looker Studio — all of which Weld can orchestrate alongside.
