Using Weld
Weld moves data in three steps: data sources sync your tools into your warehouse, models transform it there, and reverse ETL sends the results back to your tools. Orchestration runs the three in order. New to Weld? Start with the Quickstart.
Sync data into your warehouse
- Data sources (ELT): set up a sync, choose tables, and how full and incremental syncs work.
- Change Data Capture (CDC): stream inserts, updates and deletes from your databases.
- History tables: keep every previous version of a row.
- Capture deletes: keep rows the source stopped returning, marked as deleted.
- Load into several destinations: load one sync into extra warehouses or storage.
- Authorization links: let a client or colleague connect their account to your workspace without a Weld login.
Transform and send data out
- Transformations: build SQL models in Weld, with Ed, lineage and version history, or use dbt.
- Reverse ETL: send data from your warehouse to tools like HubSpot, Salesforce and Google Sheets.
- Orchestration: run syncs, models and reverse ETL syncs together, in the right order.
Manage your workspace
- Workspace settings: members and roles, notifications, billing and audit logs.
- Data shared with AI: choose whether Ed and MCP clients can read values from your data.
- Monitor and optimize usage: see where your active rows come from.
