Managed BigQuery

Weld offers a Managed BigQuery for free up to 1TB stored data for you to easily get started trying the Weld platform.

How does it work?

When setting up your workspace, select storing your data with Weld. We will set up and manage a new BigQuery Data Warehouse on Google Cloud for you to use freely.

What is the limit?

The usage limit is 1TB storage and 5TB queries per month.

What happens when we hit the limit?

Once the limit is hit, a warning will be displayed in the Weld workspace, that you should migrate to your own BigQuery project.

Can I connect Managed BigQuery to BI tools?

Managed BigQuery does not support connecting external BI tools. To connect a BI tool to Weld, you will need to first migrate to your workspace to use your own self-managed BigQuery.

How can I migrating to my own self-hosted BigQuery?

Weld makes it easy to migrate to your owm self-hosted Data Warehouse. When you are ready to migrate, you can follow our guide.

Reducing your BigQuery Usage

Often BigQuery spending can be reduced significantly by optimizing the queries and data stored in BigQuery.

To help keep your BigQuery spend low, Weld supports generating Usage Insights report for Workspace, providing a breakdown of which tables are attributed to the resource usage in BigQuery.

This report can be usefull for identifying what is driving the cost of BigQuery Data Warehouse and how to reduce the cost.
