Google BigQuery

Google BigQuery is a serverless cloud Data Warehouse on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), launched in 2010. Using standard SQL, BigQuery delivers real-time insights using its in-memory BI Engine.

BigQuery abstracts away complexity of managing infrastructure, and provide an architecture that automatically scales storage and compute resources. This enables managing petabyte-scale datasets, without system management overhead. This structure ensures users are billed only for the data they process, avoiding charges for unused capacity.

BigQuery provides strong integration capabilities. It easily integrates with other GCP services, and also pairs with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, and Data Studio. It's compatible with various data formats and provides SDKs in languages like Java, Python, and C#. In the realm of security, BigQuery safeguards with data encryption, both at rest and in transit, and implements granular access controls.
