πŸ”§ Setup Guide - ELT

To connect your Weld account to YouTube Analytics, you need:

  • The account needs readonly access to the YouTube Analytics data of the account you want to connect to

Step 1 - Begin Configuration

Click Authorize to allow Weld to access your Google account using OAuth. You will be redirected to your Google account.

Step 2 - Grant access to Weld

  1. Select the Google account you want to connect to Weld.
  2. Click Allow to allow Weld to view your monetary and non-monetary YouTube Analytics reports and data.

Step 3 - Connection Settings

If your account is included in the YouTube Partner Program, you can type the content owner id you want to connect to Weld. Otherwise, leave the On Behalf of Content Owner field empty so that you can connect to your own YouTube account.

Step 4 - Data To Sync

Select the pre-built reports you wish to include in the sync. You can view the schema, remove columns or hash sensitive information.

Step 5 - Configure Sync

  1. Select how often you would like the data to sync.
  2. Provide a unique destination table name.

Weld will take over from here and commence syncing analytics data from your YouTube account.

πŸ“Š Reporting Jobs

YouTube Analytics does not generate report data until you add your first connector to Weld, which then creates the reporting job for the selected reports. If there are already reporting jobs for the selected report types, Weld will utilize the existing jobs instead of initiating new ones.

After a new reporting job is created, it can take up to 48 hours for the first reports to be generated. For newly created reporting jobs, YouTube generates historical reports covering the 30-day period prior to when the job is created. Weld will sync the historical reports as soon as they are available.
