👋 Hello
Welcome to the April edition of the Weld Recap — your monthly snapshot of the latest product updates, connector improvements, and new features.
Here’s what’s new 👇
🔌 Connector updates
📸 Instagram Business
Meta has rolled out major changes to the Instagram Business API. We’ve updated our connector accordingly:
- Deprecated metrics: plays, clips_replays_count, ig_reels_aggregated_all_plays_count, impressions
- New metrics: views (added across media types), feed_shares, and feed_total_interactions
- Schema changes include new fields like reel_views and carousel_album_views
🛒 Shopify
We’ve improved how Weld handles Shopify product data for better scalability and usability:
- product_variant and product_image are now top-level tables (not nested under product)
- New stream: company, helping B2B merchants gain better visibility
- Streams like order_agreement and customer_metafield now sync in more efficient chunks
☁️ Azure Cosmos DB
Weld now supports Azure Cosmos DB — Microsoft’s distributed NoSQL and vector database.
Perfect for syncing app data at scale with low latency. This connector supports incremental syncs, unpacked/packed modes, and column-level hashing.
📨 HubSpot
- You can now sync archived_owners, unlocking historical data often missed in standard setups
- Added leads object to support advanced lead tracking
💳 Chargebee
We’ve added support for plan_price and charge_price, making it easier to calculate MRR and upsells directly from raw data.
📦 Amazon Seller
New field promotion_id added — useful for analyzing promotional performance at the product level.
⏱️ Harvest
New connector live! You can now sync data from Harvest into your data warehouse to analyze time tracking, invoicing, and team productivity.
🧾 New: Sync Weld audit logs via ELT
Audit logs in Weld track every action in your workspace — who did what, when, and where. You can now sync these logs like any other data source.
- Track workspace activity
- Build dashboards for compliance & security
- Available from April 15, 2024
⚙️ Performance & app improvements
- Significant backend improvements for high-volume customers: faster syncs, queries, and model handling
- Unlimited connector access for trialing users
- Local model backups added to protect against network-related save failures
