What’s changed in the Instagram Business connector?
As part of Meta’s API updates (Graph API v22.0), we’ve made changes to Weld’s Instagram Business connector. This includes deprecated metrics, newly added ones, and schema updates to reflect the latest structure.
Here’s what’s new:
❌ Deprecated metrics
The following metrics are no longer fetched via the Instagram Business connector:
- plays
- clips_replays_count
- ig_reels_aggregated_all_plays_count
- impressions
*Note: The impressions metric is only deprecated for media created on or after July 2, 2024. For media created before that date, Weld will continue fetching values as usual.
✅ New metrics added
You’ll now see the following new insights in Weld:
- views — a new metric added to both media and user insights
- shares — added to feed insights
- total_interactions — added to feed insights
- reach — added to daily user insights
🛠️ Schema changes
Some of these updates come with schema changes. The following fields have been added:
- carousel_album_views
- reel_views
- story_views
- feed_views
- feed_shares
- feed_total_interactions
