Fair Usage Policy

Last updated: November 19, 2024

This Fair Usage Policy (“Policy”) outlines the limits and guidelines for the usage of our data syncing services as provided under the respective subscription plans. By using our services, you agree to comply with this Policy. The Fair Usage Policy is part of our Terms of Service, which you can access here:

Terms of Service

Most Weld customers will be well below these limits, as they are designed to only impact a small percentage of users with high data syncing needs. This ensures that the vast majority of customers experience seamless service without interruptions. If you're unsure of your data syncing needs, getting close to the limits, or need to increase your limit, you can always reach out to our support team for assistance and guidance.

1. USAGE LIMITS BY SUBSCRIPTION PLAN

1.1: The maximum number of Active Rows that may be synced under each subscription plan unless stated otherwise in your contract is as follows:

PlanActive Rows
BasicUp to 20,000,000
PremiumUp to 20,000,000
BusinessUp to 50,000,000

1.2: An "Active Row" refers to any data row that is updated or inserted during the data syncing process between data sources using our platform. Active Rows typically represent 10-20% of the Total Rows synced. You can track your usage by navigating to the Settings page and selecting.

2. FAIR USAGE COMPLIANCE

2.1: We enforce these limits to ensure optimal service performance for all customers. Usage in excess of the stated limits for your selected plan may result in a restriction of services, additional charges, or suspension of your account. Customers approaching their limit will receive advance notifications.

2.2: In addition to Active Rows, we monitor overall usage across the following dimensions:

  • Total Rows processed during data syncing operations.
  • Volume of data transferred between sources and destinations.
  • Sync time incurred during data transformations and syncing.

These metrics help us ensure fair usage and equitable access to resources across all customers. While exceeding these thresholds will not immediately result in service limitations, prolonged excessive usage may require an account review or an upgrade to a higher-tier plan.

3. EXCESSIVE USAGE

3.1: If you exceed the allocated Active Row limits for your subscription plan, we may request that you upgrade to a higher-tier plan or reduce your usage to remain within the stated limits. Failure to comply may result in temporary suspension or termination of services in accordance with our Terms of Service.

4. AMENDMENTS AND CHANGES

4.1: We reserve the right to amend or update this Policy at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the services after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
