The role
Software can feel magical if done right, and we value craftsmanship over quick hacks. You will be part of our engineering team and build everything from our data pipelines, which move data at scale, to specific integrations, data warehouses and SaaS applications. We focus heavily on an extensible, maintainable, generalised framework that speeds up building and maintaining our integrations.
We use TypeScript on the front and back end, with Node.js on the back end. Our API is GraphQL-based and we host on AWS, and you can expect to contribute across the whole stack. We value independence and people taking ownership of the code, and we provide mentoring and career support because we want to see you succeed with us.
We hope that you
- have experience with an object-oriented language, preferably TypeScript
- know how to build application frameworks and generalise code structures to make developers more productive
- strive to write simple, maintainable and understandable code
- have experience with, or an interest in, mentoring other developers
- have a solid understanding of ETL, reverse ETL and data warehousing best practices
- bring data engineering experience, which is a plus
